Punjab Enforcement & Regulatory Authority (PERA) has announced Sergeant Driver Jobs 2026 for Intermediate‑qualified candidates holding Punjab domicile. A total of 500 BS‑07 posts are available across almost all districts of the province, offering a major opportunity for youth to join the newly formed enforcement force under the Punjab Enforcement & Regulation Act 2024.

Selected Sergeant Drivers will assist in enforcement operations, patrolling and official transportation throughout Punjab. The posts carry BS‑07 pay plus Special PERA Allowance (during training not admissible), and appointments are purely on merit through a digital, transparent recruitment process via the Punjab Job Portal.

Applicants must meet strict educational, driving and physical standards, including Intermediate qualification and a valid Motorcar/Jeep or LTV license. After online registration and document verification, eligible candidates will be issued challans and slips for physical tests, followed by written examinations and interviews.

Educational & Driving Requirements

  • Intermediate from a recognized Board of Intermediate & Secondary Education.

Physical Standards

For Male Candidates

  • BMI: 27 or below.
  • Height (without shoes): 173 cm.
  • Chest:
    • Non‑expanded: 32″
    • Expanded: 34″ or above (min 2″ expansion mandatory).
  • Running: 1 mile in 7 minutes.

For Female Candidates

  • BMI: 27 or below.
  • Height (without shoes): 162 cm.
  • Running: 1 mile in 11 minutes.
  • Chest: Not applicable.

Eyesight (Male & Female)

  • 6/6 with glasses allowed, color blindness is not acceptable.

Other Conditions

  • Age: 18–26 years on closing date.
  • Domicile: Must hold Punjab domicile (digitally issued).
  • Clean Police record; candidates with criminal background are ineligible.
  • Government servants are not eligible (PERA explicitly excludes Punjab Civil Servants).
